On April 30, 2024, Brazilian Distribution Co announced it has joined a tax settlement program with São Paulo to resolve R$ 3.6 billion in ICMS tax debts, reducing its liabilities by 80% to about R$ 794 million, resulting in a total expense of approximately R$ 261 million.
