On April 8, 2026, Intel acquired the 49% equity interest it did not already own in its Fab 34 joint venture in Ireland from Apollo-managed funds for $14.2 billion, fully financing the purchase with cash and a $6.5 billion bridge loan. This repurchase makes Intel the sole owner of the joint venture, following the agreements made in June 2024.
