Diageo PLC has agreed, on 17 December 2025, to sell its 65% shareholding in East African Breweries plc to Asahi Group Holdings for estimated net proceeds of $2.3 billion, enhancing its balance sheet. This agreement includes long-term licensing for Diageo brands post-sale.
