Whiting Petroleum and Oasis Petroleum have entered into a merger of equals transaction, and a class action lawsuit challenging the merger disclosures has been dismissed with Chord Energy Corp (formerly Oasis Petroleum) agreeing to pay $75,000 in attorneys fees and expenses.
